exploring Mzamba Mouth

// Apart from visiting our construction site, we explore the surrounding area and the village of Mzamba, where we will spend much of our time over the next few weeks. Passing the school grounds and small houses, surrounded by spacious gardens, we descend a steep ravine to the Mzamba River. There is a suspension bridge for almost two years now, which provides the inhabitants of the Pondoland a safe path across the river. It is hard to imagine that they used to walk through the rushing river to reach infrastructure such as schools, health care or grocery stores.
