In der Konstruktion unseres Projekts gibt es aus statischer Sicht zwei Herausforderungen: die hohen Windlasten von annähernd 1,1 kn/m² und die Aussteifung des Gebäudes selbst. // When it comes to the construction of our project, the two biggest challenges of statics are to handle the high wind loads of approximately 1.1 kN/m² and the bracing of the building itself.
Dafür müssen spezielle Details – von den Fundamenten bis zum First – entwickelt werden, die einerseits den baulichen Standards von Südafrika entsprechen und andererseits mit einem geringen Einsatz von Material und Werkzeug auskommen, damit sie von uns selbst in sechs Wochen umgesetzt werden können. // Therefore it is necessary to develop specific details – from the foundation to the roof ridge – which comply the building standards of South Africa on the one hand, and which, on the other hand, get along with a minimal input of material and tools, to be able to build everything on our own in a very short period of six weeks.
In diesem Prozess werden wir von zwei Studienkollegen aus dem Bauingenieurwesen und von Kurt Pock unterstützt, die uns dabei helfen für alle konstruktiven Herausforderungen die beste Lösung zu finden.
